Journaling is one of my favorite pastimes. I’ve kept many journals throughout my college years which reveal my day to day thoughts, dreams and goals.
I came across this small niche on youtube of those who journal their travel experiences. Since I have a big trip coming up this year, I thought this would be a great way to document all my experiences
I purchased this journal on Amazon for $26.99 which is great considering the Midoris travler’s notebook is almost $40. The wanderings notebook is leather bound, includes three small 90 paged notebooks and has compass etched in on the bottom corner. I really thought this was a neat and subtle feature. It was probably the reason what drew me to purchasing this notebook. The notebook is small enough to fit in my purse but still large enough to accommodate my large handwriting.
I’m a huge movie buff and I’m a big fan of action/adventure movies. During my free time , I can dedicate an entire day to watching movies. I’ll rewatch old movies or watch indie films.
However, the thing that I enjoy most is going out to my local movie theater to watch a highly anticipated movie. The overcrowded theaters and smell of popcorn in the air really add to the excitement.
The top 5 movies I would like to see this year are:
- Beauty and the Beast – March 17th, 2017
- Power Rangers – March 24th, 2017
- Guardians of the Galaxy – May 5th, 2017
- Pirates of the Caribbean – May 26th, 2017
- Wonder Woman – June 2, 2017
This year I’m definitely looking forward to all the upcoming movies especially Beauty and the Beast which is just a couple days away. I’m a die hard Disney fan and I watched this movie on VHS multiple times as a kid. Everything about Emma Watson screams Belle and I’m thrilled that I’ll finally be able to watch a classic Disney real life action movie

What a lovely way to end the new year with one final blog post of 2016. This year has been filled with many moments, moments that I’ll never forget.
I accomplished a couple of goals this year and I couldn’t have done them without the love and support of my family, friends and boyfriend. As cliche as the phrase “New year, New me” sounds it honestly reflects on how I’ve been feeling lately. There is still more room to improve my quality of lifestyle, goals I want to accomplish and places I want to see in 2017. So I will own that phrase and damn well say it when ever I please.
Here are some of my goals for 2017:
♡Travel to Europe
♡Have more mini weekend trips
♡Be consistent with blog posting.
♡Update website layout to my own design
♡Exercise more (hiking, running)
♡Read at least 5 books this year.
These are a few of the goals I would like to accomplish for 2017. My top goal is traveling to Europe only because this is a trip I’ve been dreaming about since I graduated from highschool. It was something that I wasn’t able to do all throughout college because I didn’t have money. This dream seems reachable now that I have a steady job and I’ve been saving. My boyfriend will be joining me on this unforgettable trip and to be honest I’m glad it didn’t happen when it did. At least now, I’ll be able to share that dream with my love.

I’m really excited to have this week off to attend different events. My sister is turning 24 and is also getting married this Thursday.
Its been different at home since my sister moved out a couple of weeks ago. I miss being able to talk to her face to face about daily things. It took some adjustment but I’m really happy about her new life out in Palm Desert. ♡ It turns out, my sister isn’t the only one having a wedding this year. My cousin will be getting married in October and we plan to attend her bridal shower this weekend. I love attending weddings because they are a lot of fun and its nice to see all the details in decorations. Its also beautiful thought knowing that they’ve found the person they want to spend the rest of their life with.
Today, I spent the day buying wedding gifts and getting pampered with my mom. We got our nails and eyebrows done at Happy Nails and Kaya Threading. Minutes after getting a manicure, I managed to chip 3 of nails. I was really sad that I wasn’t patient enough to let them dry properly. My mother insisted I go back and get it fixed but I just left it because it was my own fault. I’ve been wanting to spruce up my outfits with some cute accessories. About a couple of weeks ago I went on my own shopping trip to Forever 21. With less than $12 I was able to purchase a set of 3 small bows, one large pink bow, and 5 pairs of earrings. What a deal! These bows and earrings are perfect with any back to school or work outfit.

Hello lovely readers!
This past Monday, I was feeling rather nostalgic about some of my childhood memories. At times, I’ll dive into boxes of old photographs taken as a baby. But this time around, I started reminiscing about all the classic Disney movies my sister and I used to watch growing up. Having spent an entire day at Disney, it seemed appropriate to scavenge through the storage for all my favorite Disney movies. Its good to note that, growing up we weren’t as fortunate to have many things but our father always managed to surprise us with a Disney VHS movie. We were always genuinely excited to receive, watch and we were even guilty of setting up tracks for our car racing. We really put these movies to good use !
While looking at all Disney movies we had in our possession, I compiled my top 6 (favorite number) .Some of my favorites, in no particular order are shown below.
♡ Beauty and the Beast – I’m really excited for the remake of this movie, if you haven’t seen the teaser trailer. Check out this link Beauty and Beast
♡ Snow White – Snow white is my favorite princess and I’ve watched this movie plenty of times growing up. I really disliked the remake that they did. I personally didn’t think Kristen Stewart should have played Snow White in Snow white and the Huntsman.
♡ Alladin – Oh Alladin, one of the funniest movies and also best musical I’ve seen at California Adventure. Also that scene carpet ride scene where they do a duet gives me chills. I recently went to California adventure and wrote about the Alladin Music in this post
♡ Toy Story – I used to give voices to all my toys growing up and a movie about toys that can talk sure does
♡Little Mermaid – Who doesn’t love movies about mermaids!
♡ Bambi – The most heart warming movie ever.
